December 5-7, 2020

2 Breakfasts, 1 Dinner

There are only two times a year when Colonial Williamsburg’s skies are filled with celebration fireworks – July 4th and Grand Illuminations.  In the 18th century – the firing of guns and lighting of fireworks celebrated major events. Grand Illuminations is Sunday December 6th and we will be there to observe the spectacle on reserved chairs seating in front of the Governor’s Palace.  But first we will have a half-day guided tour of Colonial Williamsburg exclusively for our group, the afternoon and dinner will be on your own to explore Colonial Williamsburg. Throughout this Historic Area you can check out the unique decorations and musical performances throughout the streets. Illuminations begin approximately 7-7:30pm.

Also included in this trip is a progressive Candlelight Christmas Tour of three historic plantations of the area, Shirley Plantation, continues to Berkeley and ends at Edgewood.  Friday night we dine at Captain George’s all-you-can-eat buffet famous for their never ending crab legs…and a lot more!

Monday morning we visit the home of Thomas Jefferson, author of the Declaration, on our way back to our own homes.

A $200 deposit is requred to confirm your registration; balance is due on or before October 10, 2020.
