Education Outreach Coordinator - Graduate Studies - 21351

ATTENTION:

The Department of Graduate Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks an Education Outreach Coordinator (Academic Program Specialist, AE010).

JOB DETAILS:

The Education Outreach Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the University's Parents in Education and Dual Enrollment Academy programs, which allow high school students to earn college credits. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • 2+ years of experience in K-12 or higher education 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and student information systems
  • This position requires occasional evening and weekend work, as well as travel to partner high schools 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of dual enrollment programs and their benefits
  • Prior experience working closely with high school students 
  • Experience working within a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Willingness and ability to be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations including necessary training and drills
  • Ability to interact respectfully with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Stakeholder Relations

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with K-12 schools, administrators, counselors, and teachers
  • Review instructor credentials in partnership with campus coordinators to ensure qualifications are met and develop a professional development plan, if needed
  • Develop professional development plans for instructors as needed
  • Review course syllabi and sample work to ensure compliance with accreditation standards
  • Provide dual enrollment training days for current instructors

Student Support

  • Assist dual enrollment students with accessing coursework materials and resources including textbooks, net ID, duo verification, campus email, etc. 
  • Guide students through the tuition payment process
  • Answer student and family questions through info sessions, in-person meetings, emails and phone calls

Program Promotion and Recruitment

  • Develop and implement advertising strategies to promote dual enrollment opportunities with high school counselors and administrators
  • Organize and participate in recruitment events at high schools and on-campus
  • Review marketing materials to ensure accuracy for the target audience
  • Manage CRM inquiries and automated messages

Administrative Duties

  • Coordinate the application, registration, and enrollment processes for dual enrollment students
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on program metrics and outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and Higher Learning Commission regulations regarding dual enrollment
  • Send final grades and transcripts to appropriate parties to ensure timely reporting

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Well-qualified candidates can expect a starting annual salary of $50,000.
